Personal Types

Prev Next

If you want to create DLP rules and policies based on a data pattern that is not built into the Trustifi sensitivity types, you may create your own pattern detection on the “Personal Types” page.

To access this page, navigate to Personal Types (Outbound Management > Data Classification > Personal Types).

By using Regular Expressions (or “regex”) you can create your own custom sensitivity types which can then be used in Trustifi’s DLP rules.
To create a new personal type, click the "Add Sensitivity Type" button located above the table.

When creating a personal type, you will need to provide the following:

  • Name: This will be the official name of the data type that will appear whenever it is found in user emails

  • Regex: Here you will need to add a regular expression that will be used to detect the custom pattern you are looking for. If you are not sure how to use this field or if you are looking to create a personal type but are not familiar with regex, you may contact us for assistance at [email protected]

  • Score: This score will correspond with the personal type you are creating and should reflect how sensitive the data is
